We are going to join this annual fundraising for Polish pediatric care. In its 31 years, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has raised around $500 million and donated almost 70,000 pieces of medical equipment. Razem wants our Utah community to be a part of this success! We will be meeting for tea/coffee and cake. There will be an opportunity to donate to the charity, but no pressure to do so. Come socialize and meet with your Polish friends. There will also be a way to donate online if you can't make the event and would still like to contribute- more details in the next email.
Kids Talent Show
During the charity event, we will be having a Razem Has Talent! Kids can sing, play an instrument, dance, recite poems (in any language!), do a quick magic trick, or even show off their sports skills. We will be limiting each child to 2 minutes per performance. We encourage all of our kids to participate in this event, not only for the love of our amazing kids but because performance is so important to kids’ self-confidence and future leadership skills. Encourage your kids to help us put on a great show (even the littlest ones)!

More Information About the Organization:
31 years ago a group of musicians, led by Jurek Owsiak, organized a rock concert, the proceeds of which were allocated to the purchase of medical equipment for the cardiology center in Warsaw, No one could have guessed that the largest charity organization in history of Poland had just been born. This foundation, with a rather misleading name, is none other than the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. It supports the Polish health service, mainly children's medicine. To date, nearly $500 million has been raised and almost 70,000 devices have been delivered to healthcare facilities throughout Poland. It has recently been estimated that every fifth device in Polish hospitals comes from the Great Orchestra.
For years, the Foundation has enjoyed the greatest trust among all the non-governmental organizations and state institutions in Poland. The day of the finale (a selected Sunday in January) is the culmination of months of preparation. The collection takes place at concerts and on the streets of Polish cities. For many years, larger Polish communities abroad have also been participating in this event. The scale of the phenomenon is shown by the figures from last year's final: 102,000 volunteers organized in 1,633 staff (including 90 abroad in 29 countries). The foundation operates all year round by purchasing equipment and running medical and educational programs. Jurek Owsiak is also the organizer of the annual open-air rock festival Przystanek Woodstock, for which in 2015 the International Music Industry Awards in Los Angeles awarded him with the award of the best concert promoter in the world. The Great Orchestra is also involved in emergency aid and in 2010 it purchased equipment helping to eliminate the effects of the flood in southern Poland. In 2022, the Foundation donated nearly $5 million to help Ukraine.
